The fountain and the southern view of Zwartkoppies Hall

 A fountain was built in front of the house in the mid 1890s. Judging by photographs the fountain gave problems and was only in working order for a short time. It consists of a cement pond with a fountain in the centre that flows over a group of rocks. Roses, shrubs, palms, conifers and lawn were planted around it.

Marks also presented the cast iron fountain at present in the Pretoria Zoo to the city of Pretoria.
