Iron Age figurines from Schroda, Limpopo Province, South Africa 

"The best known artefacts indicating ritual behaviour in the Early Iron Age" - from 'Africa 95 Exhibition Catalogue'

The thousand year old clay figurines  reveal aspects of ancient rituals described as ‘Universal Symbols Sculpted in Clay’. The figurines were used by seniors in Zhizo society as tools to educate younger people about important political, social and religious principles.
